The Function

FeDs are directly included as observers in the BoD Management Meetings (BoD-Ma), herewith fostering greater transparency and collaborative decision-making. They are however neither included in the BoD Selection Meeting (BoD-Se) - because of the need for discretion - nor in the BoD Academic Meeting (BoD-Ac) - because of the sensitive and personal nature of the deliberations.

The Mandate

The GEM PhD School’s BoD sees its activities and decisions mainly concentrated at its annual meeting. The FeDs’ first and foremost responsibility is therfore to participate therein as observers and contribute to its efforts.

The BoD might also be called upon to assess pressing matters which arise between its scheduled meetings. In this case, FeDs are associated and informed of the online consultation so as to be able to continue to fulfill their role of advocates and spokespersons for the Fellows.
